ALO Environmental Headquarters
The first of February 1997, the Alliance happily occupied our new headquarters. What a great way to celebrate ALO's Tenth Anniversary!! In the early years of our organization, meetings were first held at Carroll's restaurant in Manahawkin followed by a move to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Brant Beach. In May of 1989, the Alliance moved to a store front on Center Street which served well for almost seven years. Then came the move to our present location where we can accommodate ALO's growing mission in the community.
Thanks to so many individuals and businesses, who worked long and hard at this project with their time, talent and donations, so that ALO could bring a great commercial space back to life. The new building provides space for ALO's environmental office and gift shop. This building enables ALO to fulfill its mission of educating the public, and of carrying out citizen action on the highest levels.
