ALO's Sea Critter Round-up

Join ALO volunteers and interns as we seine the bay and discuss all the interesting creatures
that we find. Parents and children are welcome to join in for this hands-on program.
Donation: $5 per child or $10 per family

Hands on the Bay

Take a relaxing nature walk among the salt marshes. Talk about the local plants, birds and other creatures.
Seine the bay to look at and discuss all the little sea critters we find.
And enjoy a presentation by ReClam the Bay

Shellfish, Fish and a Healthy Bay
Presentation by ReClam the Bay

Learn how baby clams are raised in land-based nurseries are moved
into water-based upwellers, and then seeded into clam beds.
Learn how to protect the bay's ecosystem.

Eco-Tour of a Barrier Island

Environmentally themed bus tours of the north and south ends of LBI.
Stop at various ecological and environmentally significant areas on LBI.
