Intern We are looking for a few motivated, organized, enthusiastic students for the following positions:
Typically we will host 5 weekly summer programs such as: eco-kayak tours, eco-bike tours, bay seining, nature walks and eco-themed puppet theater shows. As a volunteer, you will assist the Leader and Leader-in-Training and are eligible to become a Leader-in-Training for the following summer. As a Leader-in-Training, you will be eligible to become a Leader and to apply for an ALO scholarship. As a Leader, you will be paid a stipend and will earn ALO’s CLEAN WATER LEADERSHIP AWARD. All positions can apply their time towards community service or intern credits, all while building your resume for college and having fun. You will help educate the public about our local environmental issues as they enjoy the coastal life that surrounds us on this barrier island. You will learn to address the issues affecting LBI and the surrounding waterways and teach people how they can easily play a role in keeping our waters and beaches clean.
